Bought and installed in my Fiancees car for her birthday because she wanted red sound activated lights, and these were the only red ones I could find (everyone and their brother makes/sells obnoxious blue ones).

While the lights themselves, the controller box, and the wiring is all very well built and professional looking, the sound functions are totally useless, first of all its not sound activated like most lights, the lights flash at constant rate regardless of sound, just flash more often when sound is playing, secondly the sound has to be at near deafening levels to induce any extra flash rate (and this is with sensitivity set to maximum, at the minimum I was not able to make enough noise to effect any extra flashing, the speakers would have blown before it would flash on minimum).

Honestly I might end up buying another whole kit and splicing these LEDs onto a decent sound controller.

I bought this for underdash istallation in my cobalt. I was a little dissapointed that it was all one piece and figured it would be difficult to install, But it took me only a couple of hours to get it hooked up. It is quite bright, although for better lighting use 2 of the bars for each area you are lighting. Zip ties worked best at securing the pieces.

the color is bright on these and they are easy to install the hooks are cheap i cracked two and just bought some more from my local auto parts store they were maybe 2 bucks so not a big deal
