The suction cup holds the device firmly to the windshield which is a good thing and it is adjustable, but you must take any type of case off first. Also I have an extended battery which interfers with my Thunderbolt staying snapped in securely. If you have a stock phone, it is a great mount, but if you have anything on your phone, look for something different. Unless of course, you do not mind taking things off and on all the time.

Since I wasn't ready to give Motorola $60 for a car mount, after giving them my money for my photon, I started looking for an affordable one on Amazon.

I bought this item and found it very efficient. The suction works very well and is easy to remove (but now I just keep it on its spot, since I use the car mount each time I enter my car). This item holds the phone so firmly that I'm scared it could scratch it if I remove it with too much force (so far, no scratch). All functions are fully accessible but the back camera has full view of the road, only on landscape position(the suction blocks the camera on portrait position).

The only drawback is that to remove the phone from the mount the way it supposed to be, I should use it on landscape position or on the side and it falls each time. Since I use it on portrait position, I remove it from the mount by pushing the top grip.

If you have a photon, that's the best car mount for your money! Now, let's look for a cheap HDMI...

This mount works great for my HTC Sensation. It fits my phone perfectly, the windshield suction mount is very strong, and it's simple to use and install. The only downside to this mount is that you'll have to remove your phones case for your phone to fit in the mount. If you're okay with that, or if you don't use a case, buy this mount!
